| The Protasis HTSL-1100TM High Throughput Sample Loader is an interface between the traditional macro world and the emerging world of high performance microfluidic applications. Sample is injected through an injection port adapter on your LEAP PAL Liquid Handler. Sample size is custom-configured by cutting capillary tubing to the appropriate length for the desired volume. Once filled, the incorporated Micro Injection Valve delivers the sample for processing. Built-in pressure monitoring provides safe shutdown in the event of overpressure. | ||

The
High Throughput Sample Loader can be used to load/infuse samples for a
nuclear magnetic resonance or mass spectrometer as well as a variety of
configurations where one pump and two rotary valves must be automated.
Other applications for the device include use as a nutrient or reagent
feed for biochemistry research and as microfluidic support for
microchemistry device development.
The
loader can be controlled via RS-232 or contact closure interfaces and
can be used with popular liquid handlers to allow unattended,
high-throughput sample loading. Actuation time is less than 150msec and
software is included for dynamic process control.
The
device’s positive displacement pump delivers sample injections at
precise flow rates of 1-20
uL/min.
Loading times are from 2-5 minutes, depending on transfer tubing length
and ID. The device is pressure rated to 2,000 psi (138 bar), and all
wetted surface materials are biocompatible with excellent chemical
compatibility. |

This
Protasis device is an integrated system containing an Scivex Micro Injection Valve, a
Scivex Micro Shut-Off Valve and a Scivex Precision Displacement Pump (100uL
stainless-steel pumphead). Both Micro Valves use Upchurch 1/32"
Nuts for tubing connections. Custom
configurations are available for instrument manufacturers, including 50
and 250uL
